EPSXE PROBLEMS!!!!

Ok something has changed since my system restore, epxse will no longer run mtvmg properly. no matter what sound plugin i use, or how i tweak it, many samples in the game are incorrect and distorted beyond audibility. Something very wrong here, i am using windows xp on acer aspire one, and my sound drivers are the original ones before the restore someone please help me i do not want to use the pc version as it is not stereo. helllllllllllllllp!!!!

I don't think it's a sound problem, for the simple fact that you would have sound problems with other programs besdies EPSXE.  Did you try changing the video plugins instead?  Maybe that'll help.  Otherwise what did you do to your computer that you had to system restore it? :P
